Roll material
This feature forces the algorithm to place the panels to the left edge, which is a suitable placement strategy if you are working with materials stored in rolls and need to know how long of a piece of the roll should be cut off.
1) First enable the Roll material switch. Then enter Max roll length instead of Length. If you dont know the exact length of the roll, enter an estimated (but available) length.
2) The cutting layout shows you how long of a roll you need to cut. Since the unimportant rest of the roll is not visible, the panels placement is easier to read.
3) Without this feature, the algorithm finds a solution that minimizes waste, but is not suitable for roll material.
